DAC 1904 is entering an exciting new chapter of commercial development, and we are looking for an experienced Commercial Manager who will take ownership of the Club’s commercial direction and help turn its sporting passion, strong brand and loyal fan base into sustainable commercial growth.
This is a newly created senior leadership position with a unique opportunity to build the commercial function end-to-end – from strategy and team structure to sponsorship, ticketing, retail, marketing, hospitality and fan engagement.
You will work closely with the CEO and the Club’s leadership team, playing a key role in shaping the commercial foundations of DAC for the years ahead.

YOUR MISSION

As Commercial Manager, you will define and execute the Club’s commercial strategy in line with its sporting and financial objectives and the DAC Operating Model 2027–2030.
You will build a high-performing commercial function, develop new revenue opportunities and strengthen relationships with sponsors, partners, supporters and the wider business community.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Commercial Strategy & Leadership
• Define and execute the Club’s overall commercial strategy.
• Build and develop the commercial department, including its structure, processes, people and performance culture.
• Take ownership of the commercial budget and departmental performance.
• Chair the weekly Commercial Committee and represent Commercial on the Executive Committee

Sponsorship & Partnerships
• Own and develop the sponsorship pipeline and strategic partner relationships.
• Identify and develop new B2B partnership opportunities and commercial categories.
• Negotiate and manage partnership agreements within delegated authority.
• Increase the value and long-term potential of existing partnerships.

Ticketing & Memberships
• Develop the Club’s ticketing and membership strategy, including pricing and packaging.
• Drive season ticket and membership acquisition, renewal and retention.
• Identify opportunities to increase matchday revenue and supporter lifetime value.

Retail, E-commerce & Merchandise
• Lead the Club’s merchandise, licensing and e-commerce strategy.
• Drive commercial performance and P&L development across retail activities.
• Identify new opportunities to grow the Club’s merchandise business.

Marketing, Communications & Digital
• Lead commercial marketing campaigns, brand development and digital strategy.
• Develop content and communication initiatives that support both commercial and brand objectives.
• Ensure commercial communication is consistent with the Club’s identity and reputation.
• Coordinate with the CEO on PR, media and crisis communication.

Hospitality & Venue Commercialization
• Oversee the Venue & Hospitality General Manager, responsible for hospitality, stadium F&B and the Bonbon business as an independent P&L.
• Ensure hospitality and matchday commercial offerings are connected to the overall supporter experience.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to align commercial opportunities with venue operations.

Fan Engagement
• Develop initiatives that strengthen supporter loyalty, engagement and long-term value.
• Turn the Club’s relationship with its supporters into meaningful commercial and brand opportunities.

Budget & Governance
• Own the commercial budget and manage staffing decisions within the approved framework.
• Provide accurate and timely commercial reporting to the CEO, Financial Manager and Executive Committee.
• Ensure financial discipline, transparency and accountability across the commercial function.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a senior commercial leader who combines strategic thinking with strong business development skills and a genuine passion for sport and brands.

You bring:
• Significant senior-level commercial leadership experience, ideally from professional sport, entertainment, media, consumer brands or a comparable environment.
• A proven track record in sponsorship sales, partnership development, sports or brand marketing, and ticketing or membership growth.
• Experience with P&L and budget ownership.
• Experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• A track record of building functions, processes or teams in a growing or transforming organization.
• A strong network across sponsorship, media, hospitality, retail and/or consumer sectors.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, marketing or a related field.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Slovak and/or Hungarian is an advantage.
• Most importantly, the ambition and entrepreneurial mindset to build something new.
